Matthew B. McGlathery

Matthew was born in Natchitoches, Louisiana and moved to Lake Charles at a young age. He attended St. Louis Catholic High School where he played baseball. He then pursued a History Degree at Northwestern State University, in Natchitoches, where he continued his baseball career as a D-1 athlete and graduated summa cum laude. Upon graduation, Matthew attended law school at Louisiana State University.
Matthew has been practicing law in Lake Charles, Louisiana since 2012. Matthew primarily handles motor vehicle accidents and personal injury cases. Matthew was actively involved in representing many clients with environmental economic loss claims during the BP Deepwater Horizon oil spill that occurred in 2010. Matthew credits any success in life to his faith in God and his excellent negotiation and communication skills, as well as his client-first approach to the law.
Outside of work, Matthew enjoys the outdoors and making memories with his wife, Alexandra. Matthew is an avid sports fan and also enjoys spending time with family, his dog (Reese) and friends. Matthew has a deep passion for life and its many wonders.

Alexandra was born and raised in Lake Charles, Louisiana, and enjoys working alongside her husband, Matthew, at McGlathery Law.
Alexandra graduated Magna Cum Laude from Louisiana State University in 2014, with a Bachelor of Science in psychology and a minor in business. She then received the degrees of Juris Doctor and Graduate Diploma in Civil Law in 2017 from the Paul M. Hebert Law Center of Louisiana, graduating Cum Laude.
Alexandra earned Cali Awards in Evidence, Income Tax, Louisiana Civil Procedure II, and UCC Security Devices.
After admission to the Louisiana Bar in 2017, she received the degree of Master of Laws in Taxation from New York University School of Law in 2018, and was admitted to the Texas Bar in 2019. Alexandra was a Senior Associate in the Mergers & Acquisitions Tax Group at KPMG, and worked at Meadows Collier in Dallas and then Sigler Arabie & Cannon in Lake Charles where she has practiced primarily in the areas of estate planning and administration and business transactions.
Alexandra greatly enjoys traveling and being active outdoors. As much as Alexandra loves to be on the go, she enjoys being home with Matthew and her pups, sipping on a quality cup of hot tea.
